PMEA for Caregivers

The Pleasurable Moment Enhancing Approach (PMEA) helps caregivers discover simple, positive ways to support a loved one living with a neurocognitive disorder. By building on the person's sources of enjoyment, life story, and remaining abilities, PMEA encourages meaningful interactions and helps nurture a warm, reassuring relationship.

PMEA offers practical strategies to create moments of connection, participation, and shared pleasure in everyday life. By focusing on strengths rather than difficulties, it can help reduce stress and feelings of helplessness while strengthening caregivers' confidence and sense of competence.

Most importantly, PMEA helps caregivers and their loved ones continue to share meaningful moments, fostering connection, well-being, and a better quality of life for both.
