WHO WE ARE
The Pleasurable Moment Enhancing Approach (PMEA) is an initiative designed to make everyday moments more enjoyable and meaningful for people living with a neurocognitive disorder, such as Alzheimer’s disease. By focusing on pleasure, emotional memory, and a person-centered approach, PMEA helps foster meaningful connections and create positive experiences for individuals, their families, and care providers. In doing so, it supports well-being and contributes to a better quality of life for everyone involved.

WHAT WE DO
Our mission and our actions
PMEA aims to foster positive and meaningful interactions with people living with neurocognitive disorders, such as Alzheimer's disease. By emphasizing enjoyment, emotional memory, and a person-centered approach, it seeks to preserve meaningful connections and create moments of well-being in everyday life.
To support this mission, we develop and share practical tools, training, and resources that help family members, volunteers, and professionals integrate PMEA principles into their daily interactions. We also offer educational activities, conferences, and digital content designed to increase awareness of the approach and inspire the creation of meaningful and enjoyable experiences. Through these efforts, PMEA contributes to enhancing the well-being and quality of life of people living with neurocognitive disorders, as well as those who care for and support them.
